Rekordbox/Hid mode with DJ Phase

There are no plans for HID control from non-Pioneer DJ hardware. The timecode input is supported by DVS-compatible hardware.
It's a shame that Pio doesn't want to integrate this particular hardware with Rekordbox, as it would open up so much more creativity options with Rekordbox, considering DVS mode only allows bpm sync, and not beat sync as per HID. Why the difference, when conversely, CDJ3000s can operate HID mode with Serato? I understand the desire to lock people into the RB ecosystem, but why not expand the usability? There's obviously a lot of co-operation between Pioneer and other 3rd party companies, so surely it makes sense?
Guess that's a good reason to move permanently to Serato then
