No sound output from DDJ-FLX6
I just bought a DDJ-FLX6 controller and have it hooked up to my Lenovo X1 Carbon computer powered by Windows 10 Pro and with Serato DJ Pro software. The controller controls the Serato software but there's no sound output either through the speakers or headphones (in fact, the master sound bars don't even light up as they do when I'm using the software only on the laptop). Is there some sort of Pioneer firmware that needs updating?

If it's the new Intel CPU, uninstall the Intel audio drivers; they're preventing 3rd party audio / MIDI devices from being recognized by the system.
