Help with my new DJM 900
Hello all. I have recently invested in new equipment to up my game in the business. I purchased a DJM 900, and have read about new firmware updates. I am currently using Traktor Pro 2, along with a Control X1, and a Macbook Pro._ (I will also add CDJ 2000's later). _ My traktor Pro 2, and X1 is set on my Macbook. I need to know step by step how to update my new DJM 900. I've tried to do it a couple of times but I get a message, 're-install drivers'. I may be doing something wrong. Are there any articles or videos for _rookie_s showing step by step how to perform a firmware update?
Thanx

Here is a video for the DJM-2000 and it's pretty close to the DJM-900: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kjqyv9RTLA
Don't forget to shut off your firewall as well. ;)
Thanks,

Hey thanx Foster, but I have one more question. I forgot to say I'm a sort of novice when it comes to computer hardware technology. The DJM 900 comes with a cable. I read that you have to connect the Mixer and Macbook in the back of the mixer rather than the USB port on top. Is there a certain type of cable that I need to connect the Mixer and Macbook. If so, what is the name of the cable I need?
Thanx again!
Just a regular ole' ethernet cable, the kind you'd connect between your modem and router or router and computer. It's a CAT5 / CAT5e / CAT6 cable.
Hey Pulse and Foster thanks big time! For some reason on my Macbook, I got a 'waiting for djm900 to connect' message. . . but then I decided to link up to my desktop PC, and** boom**, right away I was able to update to the current firmware! I'm up and running with the lastest features on my DJM thanks to you guyz!
I am happy to be part of the Pioneer DJ family. I will continue to tune in for more advice and encouragement to build my new buisness!
Thanx again

'Minimal is everything but minimal'!!!!
@6Sixx > Sorry for the delay on my end. Pulse has you covered.
But for updating your DJM-900 on your Mac, connect via ethernet, turn off your wifi and your firewall on your Mac, ensure in your System Preferences > Network, that you're "Using DHCP" and everything should be good to go.
