How to properly Record? XDJ-RX
I'v been having trouble with my recordings. When I record the master level is set every low -9 dB, and the recording still comes out way too hot. What I mean is afterwards when I play it in the car the recording has too much power. At the #10 volume level mark on my car audio deck the subwoofers sound like they are at #30. When I'm mixing I set the gains to +9 dB. I don't mix in the red. I was wondering that is the correct way to record using the xdj-rx?

Why are your gains that high? They should be set so the channel meters peak around the 0dB mark, and the master meter should be set to match. The recording levels are based on the channel gain level, not the master level.
I find recording on channel level at 0 db is too far away of 0 db in the waveform (e. g. when loaded in Audacity).
After several tests I think recording level has to be more than 0 db. But what level exactly?
