Sluggish Midi control using pioneer 2000nxs in rekordbox performance mode

Hi there forum users, after connecting one cdj 900nxs and one cdj 2000 nxs and selecting midi control on both decks, I'm finding midi control a bit sluggish compared to using just usb flash drives with my units and no rekordbox.
Should they be acting this way? I would have thought that the midi control would be spot on and just like using the units in stand alone, have I missed something or do other users have the same problem? I'm using a pc with windows 10, thankyou in need of help as paying a subscription for rekordbox and if everyone has same problem then I need to cancel! Lol any help will be greatly appreciated!

Sluggish how? It could well be it's your computer that's the weak point of the equation as all of the processing and performance is done by the computer and software running on it as opposed to the CDJs with their dedicated processors and memory.

What are your system specs and have you optimized Windows for performance?

I have a a acer aspire, running Windows 10, and Athlon x2 dual core ql 64, 2.10 ghz with 4 gab of ram and how do I optimise Windows for performance? Is this a high enough spec laptop? Thanks

Ian Cousins

Also I'm presuming I do not need to set hid with both the nxs models as there is no option in utility

Pulse

No, that was only needed in the first gen players.

Athlon processor eh? I suppose I can take this moment to point out that AMD processors aren't officially supported and any performance issues you encounter may be as a result.
