USB Buffer / Dropouts
Anyone else having issues with the USB Buffer?
I have it set at 12.6ms and if i open anything such as Safari, Emails etc the sound gets awfully distorted.
I have used Serato DJ for many years and my buffer on that is set at 5ms and I can happily have iMessages open, browse the internet, send emails... i've even played Football Manager before with it running and had no issues!
So why with Rekordbox when I have the buffer more than twice as high?! I've tried change the Waveform to a slow drawing rate but it makes no difference.
Also using Rekordbox my computer temperature gets stupidly high, 90+ degrees celsius and again with Serato DJ it's happy around 75 degrees celsius.
I have tried it with both a DDJ-SX2 and how a DDJ-RR. I really want to make the switch to Rekordbox permanently but these issues are stopping me currently.
My computer is not exactly slow either;
Macbook Pro Retina 2014, Intel Core i5 2.8ghz with 8gb RAM.
I have seen other people complaining of the same issue, can anyone from Pioneer confirm they are looking into this?

I can confirm that our customer's voices do not go unheard. This issue has been brought to the attention of the product team but there is no timeline as to when a "fix" may be implemented. Thank you for your support, patience and understanding.
I have many many time highlighted this to pioneer n yet nothing has been done . I hope they can come up with some solution .. maybe by doing a simple able/disable of history may help a little by saving the cpu loading ,
even when I set to high performance .. there is no guarantee the drop out wont happen .
may I tell u , I have a series of test for the whole month since I bought rbdj+ dvsdj . and now finally I am testing with something new . I downloaded msi game centre which has an option of disabling all the other programs and application when rbdj is selected. so the cpu will soley run for rbdj and I notice the dropout meter seems to be steady. maybe this is what rbdj needs. but even by saying this , it is still on test .and I will know it by this weekend , when I will dj for at least 4 hours or so .
I am using DDJ SZ and XDJ RX Nmy setting latency for ASIO 512 sample rate 11.2 ms
Laptop spec .. MSI I 7 5700HQ ( 2.7 ghz n goes turbo 3.2ghz when set to high performance ) . cpu temp with coolerboost 52.c . 16 gb ram n 1 tera hd .
I have 1077 tracks and in collection and 17 playlist.
I hope this Saturday all goes well . wish me luck
Had to use serato again tonight as I was working from a request document on Pages which I had to keep flicking back to and every time I did it was like I had turned on the Crush effect in Rekordbox... Sounded dreadful!
