My entire USB got corrupted. How could this happen, and how can i prevent this from happening in the future
Hello guy's yesterday I was Djing in a bar And brought my own nxs2 set along.
after i played for some hours i loaded a track it played but not as it should It did cut the track and just played certain parts of the track where i did not place cue points or pressed hot cues nor Did i press anything to make this happen Eventually when i loaded another track the cdj 2000 nxs2 crashed and when i turned the power off and back on it said format usb, when i plugged the usb back into my pc Today It said i have to format the usb before i can use it again. i would like to know how i can prevent this issue from happening in the future.
Kind regards Rohan

Could be the original formatting or a corrupt file, but empty the drive and re-format to FAT32 a few times and then re load. Sometimes a drive can go bad, it does happen, having back-up is the best method around this...
Like Jay said, have a couple of back ups. I always carry 2 usb's and 1 sd card.
Curious, after formatting did the usb work again?
