R1 Problem
Hi there!
My XDJ-R1's guarantee expired almost half a year ago but I've been having problems with it for way longer... the reason I wasn't able to send it up for a new one is because I've opened it once to replace the left volume fader, which is a bummer because I payed about 1,000euro's for something that freezes for no reason, the faders are absolutely <snip> unlike the quality of a DJM which is very upsetting and let me not even start with the fact that we xdjr1 users can't update the firmwire because the XDJR1 is a total scam!
I'd love to have my cash back or a new pioneer product that won't be wasting my time.

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems, but there was a firmware update released in September. Please try updating to this firmware to resolve any freezing issues.
Regarding the quality, the components of the R1 are not as high a quality of our flagship DJM line in order to keep costs lower, this is a common design/construction technique in every industry. If you want the luxury and performance of a DJM, you can't expect to get it in the cost of an R1.
