New Pioneer gear - Second Hand

Hi there,

I'm going to receive 2 cdj 2000's and a djm 800 that are second hand and still under guarantee, but I only have to pay after checking em'. How can I check that they are defenitely real and work well ?

Cheers !

Nick Hilton

power em up and play on them, :)

Thomas

Sure thing, but won't prove that they will work an hour after the guy has left... :/

How do modern DJs beatmatch so effortlessly? Are they putting their tracks into ableton? I was watching a video of an hour long DJ set and the DJs were using CDJ 2000s, but they barely used the jog wheel during the hour. Wouldnt they need the tempo adjust and or the jog wheel?

@Thomas > So play for two hours, four hours, eighty hours.  If they exhibit problems in the first 20 minutes of playing, you'll know.  If problems pop up a day later, chances are the other guy didn't have those problems either.

Thomas

Cheers Pulse ! So basically, if I receive them and they work for about 20 minutes, it means I'm pretty safe and I can go on and buy em' ?

Thanks !

Pulse

Pretty much.  If any failures appear after that time, as I said, the original owner would probably not known about them either.

Cue  , Count (1.2.3.4.) , press play or cue and if its correct press play.

most dance music is 128BPM , Pitch fader won't be used alot (Mostly 120-135 BPM)

@Sammy > Well planned sets etc. I would imagine a lot has to do with the type of DJ you are interested in. They might 'harmonise' the audio tracks to making beatmatching more easy so they can focus on something else (live remixing perhaps).
