Vinyl quality on DDJ 800 v DDJ 1000
Hello all, to start off i'm pretty happy with my new DDJ 800.
I have read on this and other forums turntable audio quality on the DDJ 1000 is not very good because of low quality pre-amp's and the phono port normally only being used for DVS.
I have hooked up my turntables and find the sound quality on the DDJ 800 to be pretty ok, but i'm not an audiophile.
Is there a difference between the amp's in the DDJ 800 and the DDJ 1000? Should i be using a pre-amp on the DDJ 800?
Thanks for the input already. Have a nice day.

You have to realize anytime newer gear comes out it usually has an upgrade in components. The sound on the 800 with external input is really good and for the size and price difference, I can see why so many DJs love the 800. I don;t think you need to use a pre-amp with your players and the 800, direct is fine!
It's not the overall sound quality i'm talking about. It's the Phono input.
Anyway, the sound quality over Phono input seems to be ok or my ears are just not so good.
Take care
