[SOLVED] cdj 2000 E-8302: PLAYER ERROR (A611)

Need a bit more information please.

It's from an sd card I've been using for a bit so I know the sd card is good. The Cdj that the sd card was in shows the error and the same on the other Cdj via link cable. Odd this is some song where ok but I know that every song has been fine before. All my Cdj 2000 are all connected correctly. But I don't know why am getting a661 error out of the blue. So far I have noticed approx half my songs state that error code. File type is MP3.

Once formatted, re-export your tracks and try with a single player, not linked. Then try connecting a linked player and try again.

i have done everything with the link you provided, the mp3 checker showed 2 files being bad with 0 bites but when i find the files they play fine and are approx 17mb each ? so not sure if the mp3 checker is any good.  the music files i have are brought from junodownload so i know they are good and not some files i just found.

i have formatted the sd cards twice and re-installed the data via rekord box as i normally do.

unfortunately i am still getting the same problem.

do you know what the error code means A611 ? i cannot find it anywhere.

Pioneer doesn't publicize the error code, but could you please attach one of the problematic files?

Even "good" files can have abnormalities causing an error in playback.

ok as requested the link provided is one of the songs that come up on mp3 checker as bad.

i have over 100 songs on my sd card so surley one bad file prevents all the songs working ??

@mike > Without even downloading that file to check it, I can tell you there is a non-standard character in the filename; ♫ is not a recognized character and is probably causing the error. Try removing it first and see if it will export.

yeah seems so, ive not had a problem yet, i did notice a few mp3's with them symbols, would be awesome if rekord box could detect them, but ill keep an eye out for mp3's with them dam symbols lol.

ive done a 3 hr mix using the songs after removing the symbols and it all works fine.

Unfortunately providing support for all non-standard ASCII symbols is difficult, the best bet would be your current approach to try and remove them manually. Sorry!
