Rekordbox freezes when starting if the video expansion is activated.
I'm having a strange freezing that lasts for some minutes (3-4 minutes) when starting the software and the video expansion is active. The software loads, then it freezes, after some minutes it works as usual. This is happening since v5.0 update.
The freeze also happens if I change to export mode and then go back to performance mode, before changing to performance RB freezes again for some minutes.

I have also had the same problem for a long time with the 2011 macbook. I have sent the reports.
@Teo > Have you tried changing the video quality level to a lower setting in the preferences?
@Demy > A 6 year old computer will certainly have more difficulty in running rekordbox video than a new computer, so that's not a really a surprise.
Video run perfect in low quality ... Problem is the freeze at boot..
My Mac is 6 years old but other software runs perfect with videos (serato video, virtual dj video)..
Just because it runs perfect with other applications doesn't mean it will run flawlessly with rekordbox... it's a different application.
There is no difference setting the lowest or highest quality level.
Pioneer have sent me a beta version.. I currently test ..and no freeze when I boot video plug-in
