ddj- sb2 not controlling rekord box

Hey all, i am on rekord box demo, before i purchase. i cant get the ddj-sb2 to control rekord box.

have uninstalled/ reinstalled several times. recognizes controller when i plug in usb. lights up. can see it in the menus. but no control? 

are the drivers up to date?

im on a new pc 12th gen i7

window 11?

any help would be appreciated
