Rekordbox External Harddrive Edited Playlists Issue

What the f*

The hole evening editing playlists on the external Samsung SSD, then shut down RB, plugged out the SSD to put it in the laptop, and BAM the playlists are the same like I started editing hours ago. 

This happend the second time, normaly it works well. 

What causes this?

RB V5.3

By Editing I mean: 

Re-Sequencing, Rating, Colors, etc.

Believe me, this was a bunch of work and it took me 3 hours.

Is your database also stored on the external drive?
