Mac freezes when i unplug 900nxs2
Imac 27 2017
900nxs2
Rekordbox
When i turn off mixer and or disconnect usb to imac my bluetooth turns off or does something. I get a squiggly line through my bluetooth icon. Also gives error of time machine drive not ejected properly.
Imac has to then be restarted via the back button.
I take it this is the same issue
Knew i should have stuck with my old trusty djm2000nxs that i couldn't record on for 6 months.
Any help much appreciated.

@Dave > Sorry about that - our product team had issues replicating the freeze / crash and felt it was likely due to a specific combination of hardware versions and OS versions. We'd never had any reports of it occurring on an iMac, only MBP's with the touchbar.
Can you please let me know the model identifier of your iMac and which OS version is installed?
Hello Pulse.
Thank you for the quick reply.
Model Name: iMac
Model Identifier: iMac17,1
Processor Name: Intel Core i5
Processor Speed: 3.2 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 32 GB
Boot ROM Version: 161.0.0.0.0
SMC Version (system): 2.33f10
Serial Number (system):
Hardware UUID: C1DCF8F7-F8BB-5352-8CFC-9461AC8118A7
That's the info of Imac. Up to date Mojave.
I have a work round that i can do. If i quit rekordbox and then turn off all is ok. I'm no tech wizard but i would think that would be down to rekordbox maybe.
I will try and get hold of a wired mouse and keyboard to see if its just the bluetooth turning off. Definitely ejects my time machine drive at the same time.
So as long as i quit rekordbox before i turn off the mixer i don't have to force restart my Imac.
Hope this helps someone.
Thanks.
Thanks, I've passed those along.
@Dave > Our engineers are unable to replicate this issue, but have asked you to try the following and see if the problem persists:
1.Uninstall the DJM driver.
2 Execute PRM reset: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063
3.Install the DJM driver
Thanks Pulse.
Still the same. Ejects my time machine back up disk and turns off my bluetooth.
I will try and get a wired mouse to see whats happening.
Wait, what? It turns off your BT as well? Wait, you mean the PRM reset, or disconnecting the mixer?
Disconnecting the mixer !!
Disconnecting the mixer causes the BT to turn off? That is messed up.
ironic
just took me 5 minutes to log onto this site to reply. hope its just me but this site seems flakey.
it only turns off my BT and disconnects my time machine hard drive when ive still got rekordbox open.
surely it must be a rekordbox issue ???

@dave > Can you please tell me if you're using an Apple USB-C to USB-A adapter, or if a 3rd party unit, what brand / model?
I’m using a standard 3rd party usb lead.
Any chance you could test it when using a USB hub?
