Transferring cue points, loops etc... to better quality track

Is there anyway to transfer cue point data etc...... from a track to a higher quality of the same track.

Iv'e changed from 160kbps to FLAC for all my collection and didn't want to manually add all the cue points again.

Is there a quicker way?

Delete or rename the original, relocate, point to the new one, re-analyse, check that the cue points are in the right spot as they may be slightly off due to nuances in how the file sits in the frame.

This did not work for my PC, as the 'relocate' option only searches for .mp3 files. It won't allow selecting .aiff or .flac files
