XDJ-XZ best playing method to search tags and metadata

I have not long upgraded from DDJ-RX to XDJ-XZ and finding it confusing which method to set up with to allow the following to occur

I want to mix on 4 decks mainly from Rekordbox using ableton link on 1 channel (if possible) and to be able to search tags, key, bpm etc and get recommended tracks to play next.

Should this be in performance mode or Export? when I use performance I do not get the ability to filter within the XDJ-XZ which I prefer rather than having to look at laptop for this info
