rekordbox 6 + DDJ-1000 - hardware control is not working after upgrade

Hi,

After upgrading rekordbox from 5 to 6, my DDJ-1000 is not being recognized as a control hardware at all. So none of the knobs, buttons, and jog wheels work in rekordbox.

I did some search and found the troubleshooting guide (https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022013031). I might have the found the problem, but I have no idea how to fix it.

First off, in rekordbox my DDJ-1000 is not recognized

Then, I looked into `System information` and DDJ-1000 was recognized by MacOS

Finally, I went into MIDI studio. I noticed there was an icon for my DDJ-1000 but it was greyed out even though it is plugged into the USB port; I deleted it thinking it will be re-created when I make a new configuration, but when I created a new configuration, the system did not create any MIDI device.

I'm using MacOS Mojave 10.14.6.

I'm thinking there is something wrong the MIDI configuration, but I have no idea to how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

Guys, any ideas?

Is there any other way to get help from Pioneer directly?
