DDJ-RB effect tempo swaping

every now and then, while using my controller (a DDJ-RB), the tempo for my right deck's FX will go to the tap tempo setting, and become out of sync of the music (the effects on a 150 BPM song will be set to a random BPM from 300 to 100) and ill have to reset the effect to auto sync, but will reset to tap tempo with some outlandish BPM value after a while.
