Hot Cue Issue

I am having an issue with using the hot cue buttons when pressing the hot cue buttons on the controller fast the software locks up for a split second also after transitioning from 1 song to the next I have to wait a couple of seconds before I hit the cue buttons to switch headphone output. I have tried checking my resources on my laptop this is not an issue since I am running a gaming machine (windows) with I7 with 16gb ram and also a Nvidia gtx 860m graphics card with 4gb of ram. Also i do not have this issue if i use the same controller with Virtual dj or if I use serato dj pro and my DDJ-SZ. Could you please advise what could be the issue or resolution? Thanks
