Static sound

Hi, starting today i've been getting a static sound during playback. I'm using a ddj-400 with a 2018 MacBook Pro i7 16gb. I was just working on playlists and was playing music through my laptop speakers. I managed to get it on video but i'm not sure how to attach it. 

I should also note that while this is happening all audio from my computer, even outside of rekordbox, is choppy. Once I close rekordbox everything returns to normal. I also notice that my controller becomes very slow to respond. I also have a DDJ-1000 and have not noticed this issue yet with that controller. Activity monitor shows no resources being overworked.
