XDJ XZ with Laptop Sync

I currently use the XZ in standalone mode with USBs.

But I have my laptop connected to the XZ and I use Rekordbox DJ performance mode with channels 3 and 4 on the XZ using Loopback.

Bascially just use the XZ as a soundcard for the laptop.

I use it this way to play last minute requests and as backup or for downloading last minute songs.
I just use the keyboard shortcuts for Rekordbox DJ. Mainly just cue play and set the tempo by typing it in.

I was wondering is there anyways to sync the tempos of the tracks playing on USB to the tracks I sometimes play off the Laptop.

Would an ddj XP1 or XP2 work for transport controls with this setup?
Cue,play,tempo etc.
