[SOLVED] CDJ-2000 Nexus - Safe to buy??
Hey all,
I have 2, CDJ-2000 Nexus units waiting for pickup. Is the firmware stable at this point? Can I play a 4 hour gig safely and without issues? Should I stay with my 2000 MK1 units for now?
Thanks

yes, in my opinion they are stable, they need some tweaking speed wise and menu wise but they have been stable since 1.06 for me. I use them on 2-5 hour gigs every weekend, this past weekend I used only my 250gb external and linked the decks, no issues and then at night i linked my laptop to the decks and again, no issues
Thank you BriChi! I am still on a much older version of RecordBox as it is stable (1.5 I believe). What is the safest version of Recordbox that I should use?
Cheers!
I currently use 2.0.2 (latest version). People have complained about crashes when exporting to drives but I have not seen that yet so I guess i am one of the lucky ones
Are these issues when exporting to hard drives only? I always use USB flash.
Thanks!
I believe it was external, flash or HD
this was the official statement from Pioneer:

The New CDJ's IMO are safe to buy now. They are working fantastic for me. Even when I use Rekordbox. I haven't had anything crash on me.... Not yet anyway.
Thank Pete!
NP JJ. Its just my opinon, and im still getting used to the players cause I have been a long time Denon user. But so far i'm very please with them.
