Rekordbox Error Message "The Configuration File Cannot Be Read..."

I downloaded rekordbox, set up my account, but every time I try to open it on my mac I get the message "The configuration file cannot be read. Restart with backup file." I've tried several things from another post, including updating my mac, but nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions? Thanks!
