Question about using a USB on RB Performance but not Importing
Hi there. Recently I've been messing about B2B with a friend. We both have DDJ-400s.
One of us will take a prepared USB to the other's place. Put the USB into the PC.
The USB shows up in Rekordbox. We don't import the tracks. Just select from the USB on the left hand side in RB. The cues and playlists are all there. But I've noticed the 'matching tracks' doesn't work, as well as any tracks played from the USB don't show in the Rekordbox history or Cue file if we record.
I assume this is how it should work - if we want matching tracks and history we have to import the tracks from the USB?

That's correct - matching only works for the songs located on the host machine. History is also not logged for the export device. Sorry!
Yes, you'd have to import the songs to his collection to get those functions.
