Rekordbox : new column in file browser
It would be nice to show the number of playlists where the track is stored to easily find orphaned tracks (=tracks in the collection featured in no playlists at all).
Now that the Database is in an SQL format, it should be quite easy to intégrate. However, as it would impact performance, it should not compute when the column is not shown.

This feature already exists; click a track, then click the drop-down arrow to the top left of the collection window and it will show any playlist or history where that song is located.

Yeah, I know you can check this one track at a time. But you can't list every orphaned tracks. The point of the feature is to highlight those forgotten tracks that are still in the collection.
So you go to the full collection add the column, sort it and get every orphaned tracks because they have a 0 in that column.
You can't neither do an intelligent playlist to get this list. Right now, you need a third party program.
A possible workaround for you...
1) Go to File > Display All Missing Files, then close it before doing any relocations.
2) Click the status column header (the one showing CUE / Phrase / Vocal / Missing) so it sorts all the missing files to the top.
3) Use a MyTag to Create a "Missing" tag, select all those missing songs and add that tag.
4) Create an intelligent playlist with the criteria My Tag = Missing.
5) Do what you need from there; as they're removed or manually relocated, you can remove the tag and they disappear from that list.
This workaround allows me to make a playlist with all missing files, i e files in the collection that are no longer available on disk.
Although I need a way to select tracks that are in the collection, still on disk but in no playlist at all.
This happens if I import a track in the collection then forget about it. It becomes a track I'll never play or will make a duplicate later because I forgot I already had it.

2 years later i have solution for you!
I have spent about 1 hour going playlist by playlist and coloring them all Purple. Then I just created a smart playlist where the color is NOT Purple - and BOOM! 125 orphan tracks found! Thanks to Ade Sands from facebook

As I have several dozens of playlists and thousands of tracks, this wasn't an option for me so I developed a tool that does that for me. It takes an XML export file as an input and outputs a m3u8 list you can then import into Rekordbox.
In the meantime, I created a simple feature still missing from Rekordbox : finding duplicates.
