Delete hotcue in performance mode

Pioneer, could you please reconsider the method of deleting hotcues in the performance mode? - there is a X mark in the corner of each hotcue what is not fail proof at all. When triggering the hotcues by mouse (lets say you are using the dvs without any midi controller), there is a huge risk of deleting a hotcue by mistake..
Could this action require holding some modifier key, so our hotcues are safe even during gigs?
