Hi, I'm playing at a club in Chengdu on Saturday night, and they have two CDJ 2000 nexus, and a DJM T1. I was playing around in it the other night, but I couldn't get the fx to work using this set up. Is it possible to use this without using traktor and still use the effects?

No, the FX are built into the software and simply controlled by the mixer.
