There are no changes between the RX and rekordbox in this version, all is status-quo.
I am running the latest firmware (currently v1.80) on my XDJ-RX and I haven't had any issues, even after hours of playing, so I would say that it's safe to do the update.
In fact, it's always a good idea to be running the latest firmware on your device.
Thanks. I'm always nervous to update after firmware is released.
I recently moved from traktor to pioneer, maybe that's why. Traktor updates were always sketchy.
