@Benjamin > How is the drive formatted? Have you tried using a USB-Y adaptor cable to provide additional power to the drive?

Benjamin Castro

Pulse the hdd is formatted on my macbook pro as MS DOS FAT(FAT32) I've have not tried that way you mention the Y adaptor is any difference on the usb ports of the cdj 2000 and the cdj 2000 nexus''?
thank you

Pulse

The CDJ-2000nexus provides more power to the USB port than the CDJ-2000 does. It could be your drive is drawing more current than is provided and thus can't spin-up properly.

Benjamin Castro

thanx pulse its a shame that the nexus player has this kind of flaws take care

Pulse

It's not the player, it's the drive operating outside spec, requiring more power than most USB ports provide.
