Record Box 4.8 with XDJ-RX - Recording Performance Mode

The XDJ-RX can not record into rekordbox dj.  You can instead record directly to a USB on the XDJ-RX hardware.

Make some practice recordings so you can get the levels right.

the XDJRX recording is really hot, so keep it in the greens, low

and just normalize or amplify in audacity.  Watch the clipping!

maybe I've explained it wrongly ... 

i have it connected as a controller ... in the dj software you can record ... 

although it won't record with the RX as the audio device .. 

this is a simple thing to do in traktor and there is no reason why RB DJ software should not support it .. 

i can only imagine you need a 'Setting Utility Driver' for it to route the master out to record.

Right now the software record feature does not work with the XDJRX 

It was originally designed and intended to be a stand alone unit.

It has its own built in USB recorder. I'm not sure if it will be an option in the 

future, but as of right now, it won't work.  Lots of us have tried, with no luck.

shame really ... although i use the USB option to do album mixes ... i bought the DJ software as it felt easier to browse then using RX screen, and jump play lists .. which i can do in traktor with ease ..

just wanted to stay pioneer .. bit of a fail really, when its only a driver required in the same way sound flower used to work to route audio.

It was NEVER supposed to work with the software, but they went

ahead and made the changes to keep us happy.  

Just hang in there, they will make it work.

Please download and install firmware version 2.1 which was released today.

Please keep in mind that the XDJ-RX was designed as stand-alone player/mixer combo.  It was never intended to be used as a full-fledged controller.  We have made these upgrades to the unit due to customer demand.  These things take time as the engineers have multiple projects to tackle simultaneously.  Thank you for your patience.

but you see my point of having a dj controller you can record on if its controlling your own branded software right ? #justsayin

but i want to record on it using iMac with rekordbox dj performance software .. and yes i have been using that to record :)

Or how about the broadcast option. I was a regular on Mixify. Now that I made the jump to the RX, Traktor wiil just not be happy with me. I know this is a standalone player, yet it it would be nice to stand alone and stream to many that are far away. Thanks for the consideration.
