XDJ-RX
I am currently using a DDJ-SR and from some time im thinking to get an upgrade and I am considering to buy an XDJ-RX. I watched all the reviews and unboxings and all the comments were positive, being really young and playing gigs with my gear I don't know if the RX would be as convenient as the SR. I would like to know your guys' opinions and if you have any advice.
Thank you,
Lorenzo

Hi, I have just upgraded to the XDJ RX from the XDJ AERO & apart from it being quite a bit bigger I have had no issues. It is quite a bit heavier & as far as I know at the moment there is no Soft Bag for them meaning you will need to get a full flight case to keep your pride & joy safe.
The only fault & it has been spoken about on hear so much is the lack of Load Lock on the XDJ RX so you can load a song on top of another playing tune.
I bought mine without seeing one but would suggest trying one before buying it.
They are a great bit of equipment which I use for both mobile DJing (weddings & parties etc) & in a live music bar. Yes not as portable as my Aero but after using mine for a few gigs now I wouldn't go back.
Since I would get it at about christmas time should I wait for any new gear to come out?
I absolutely love my RX even more then my nexus 2000, because of the beat loop freeze, also to prepare my tracks its quicker as I can sit down in my desk and for some reason I feel the filter and effects are nicer and easier to use. Would not change unless they launch a 4 decks one :P
Check out the new DDJ-RX and DDJ-RZ!
I also have an SR and want to upgrade to the XDJ-RX. I'm trying to get away from laptops. I haven't heard anything negative in regards to the unit, except for the lack of 4 channels. I don't want to buy one only to for Pioneer to release one in the spring LOL.
I'll gladly sell you mine! I bought a DJM-S9 and will start to trust laptops (backups, of course!). Plus, I can use CDJs or Tables to control Serato DJ. The XDJ-RX is a nice start - controlability and mixability are awesome, but functionality for a mobile isn't great. The rekordbox architecture wasn't built right from the ground up. I'm just not a fan. However, the DDJ-RX or RZ, like Pulse said are the new controllers that work with Rekordbox DJ. That would be a better route unless you want to ditch the laptop and just DJ.
