User samples

I put in an SD card and loaded up seven samples

Two on bank 1

Four on bank 2

One on bank 3

Occasionally when switching to bank 1 the RMX plays the default samples, other times it plays the two samples I loaded there.  I leave the switch set to user.

Bank 2 and 3 always play the samples I loaded.

Also based on the youtube videos I was under the impression that I could load samples without an SD card inserted  with the switch set to user but this doesn't work for me.  The only way I've been able to load user samples is to use the SD card.  

Not sure if I have a defective unit or maybe I need to read the manual.
