Pioneer DDJ-S1 Issue with VDJ and Unresponsive in Itch

Hey guys,

I just got the DDJ-S1 controller.  I have windows 7 64 bit.   I also am trying to get it run in VDJ 7.0.   I had an old controller that I used with no problem.  I am having a hard time with it.   I understand it needs to be mapped, but I am not sure how to do it.

I can hear music being played out of the PHONES jack but the board and all switches are dead.  Can you guys help?

same as setting up for the ddj-s1? even though its ergo?

Pretty much... just the config part and mappers, really.

I am having a problem getting this DDJ-S1 to work with my new MacBook Pro.   Any suggestions.   It works with ITCH but with VDJ it doesn't work.

@Pete > You have to rename the device for VDJ to recognize it.  Go to Applications->Utilities->Audio Midi Setup and on the Window menu, select MIDI . Find and rename the DDJ to "DDJ-S1 MIDI" (without quotation marks).  Close the windows, open VDJ and open your mappers tab and it should be recognized.

Im as far as Audio MIDI Setup.     I am now looking on how to rename this MIDI.   Not finding it anywhere.  This is bad what a noob!   I am still learning the mac way of thinking
