XDJ RR - Issue with Headphone mixer

When connecting the XDJ RR to Rekordbox the master volume is playing out my speakers, but the headphone mixer won't work. So, it's impossible to mix. When I disconnect from Rekordbox the master volume does not work but the headphone mixer begins to work.

I have my speakers connecting through an audio interface into my mac and then Rekordbox open to connect the decks as a midi. It did allow for the headphone mixer to work, but for some reason this will now not work.
