Issue with new USB & XDJ/CDJ
I've run out of ideas as to what the issue is here and hoping someone can help point me in the right direction.
I have been using 2 x 128GB USb pens for as while (Sandisk) and these have real world sustained speeds of
140MB/s Read & 42MB/s Write
My new pens (also SanDisk) have real world sustained speeds of 320MB/s read & 280MB/s write
All pens are formatted in FAT32 with 32K block sizes, so are absolutely 100% formatted in the same way.
Occasionally after exporting from RekordBox, when inserting the new pen into the deck, the only option I get to see is Contents and nothing else, and shows there as being data on the drive. I have to then edit the playlist in RB and re-export in order for the decks to spring back into life and show me all the playlists that were exported.
Also, when playing from the 128Gb pens (inserted in one deck and linked from the other) I have no issues. However, with the 512Gb, I play a track on the deck with the USB inserted fine, and then start playing a track from the linked deck. After about 15/20 seconds or so, the deck with the USB stops reading the USB saying "File is missing" or something similar.
I have conducted numerous tests on the 512GB pens and can confirm there is absolutely no fault on them, and the fact that the same issue happens on both new pens points to there being something else at play.
Anyone have any ideas what this could be? RB states there is no limit on drive size as long as it is formatted in FAT32/HFS.
Cheers
