Audio from XZ to Google Pixel 8 Pro

Hi all, apologies in advance if this is a simple question but I've exhausted all my ideas and I'm scratching my head. All I'm trying to achieve is good quality audio when posting videos of records on Instagram (no live streaming). Is there a simple way that I'm missing? I've tried irigs, Rode SC4 etc but no joy. Both set ups work fine on my iPad but nothing on both my new Google 8 and my old Samsung S21. I've messed around with the usb c settings on the phone but still nothing. Though I'd ask on here as I feel it shouldn't be this difficult 😂
