DJM-A9 USB Output not working with Mac

When connecting the USB output of the DJM-A9 to my Mac, the connection fails.  Instead of a solid blue light, I get a rapidly flashing blue light, and the DJM-A9 Setting Utility software does not see a USB connection.  My Mmac is an M3 Macbook Pro with Sonoma 14.3.1.

The same USB connection works fine on my iPad using the DJM-REC software.  When connecting to my iPad, I get a solid blue light on the USB output, indicating a successful connection.

Has anybody fixed a similar issue?
