mapping hotkeys to buttons that shift beatgrid do not work well

Hello,

I have hotkeys mapped to the "shift beatgrid left/right" buttons.  However, whenever I press the hotkey, the grid moves very quickly, and it's basically impossible to shift the beatgrid in very fine amounts using the hotkeys.  Can the software be modified so that there is either a separate mappable action to shift the beatgrid by one "tick", or can the resolution in adjusting the beatgrid be improved?
