OMNIS DUO FX CHANNEL SWITCHING (MIDI MAP BUTTONS)
HEY EVERYBODY AT PIONEER/ ALPHA THETA, I have a suggestion regarding the Omnis Duo.
I was thinking, wouldn’t it be more convenient if there was a simple switch to quickly change the effects channels instead of having to navigate through the menu each time (its a three step process)? I wonder if it's possible for you to update the firmware to allow users to remap buttons, such as the Bluetooth forward and reverse buttons, or add a 'SHIFT" function for the headphone 1 & 2 buttons for this purpose (FX channel switching).
This change would greatly improve usability for me and could even be a deciding factor in my choice of equipment.
PLEASE DO THIS!

PLEASE!!!!! THIS IS THE BIGGEST ISSUE with the Omnis Duo that i have...the effect channel change is SO DIFFICULT.
Bumping this post because this is an issue I've also run into with the Omnis Duo!
I recently went into Rekordbox MIDI Mappings to try to change the functionality to allow for a simple fix for a CH Select. Since I never use Shift + Beat FX < or > for the Auto / Tap feature, I attempted to reroute
[Shift + Beat FX <] to Select CH 1 and [Shift + Beat FX >] to Select CH2. I've properly done these MIDI Mappings and have gotten Rekordbox software to function this way when the board is connected, however the custom MIDI Mappings do not seem to apply to the board itself.
Rekordbox PLEASE, allow for Custom MIDI Mapping functionality on the Omnis Duo with a Firmware update or add some type of feature with a firmware update to allow the physical buttons on the board to CH Select the FX
This would be sooooooo good if implemented because now it's enough reason for me to send it back :(
this is the only issue holding me back from buying the Omnis Duo. really hoping there will be a solution soon
+1 to this! This is easily the most requested and needed workflow fix for the OMNIS-DUO, whether you are playing in Standalone mode or using MIDI/software control.
I’ve just posted a detailed breakdown of how AlphaTheta could easily implement these physical shortcuts (for both Standalone and MIDI routing) on another thread here:

It would be great to consolidate our feedback on that main thread so the development team can see how many users are waiting for this firmware update.
