Pioneer DJ PLX-500 Powered Speakers

Hi, I have a PLX-500 with Pioneer DJ powered speakers.  The left speaker, the one that is powered, is shorting out and not getting a good signal, while the right speaker works fine.  How can I best troubleshoot and fix?
