Hey there,

I was wondering if you can use the new CRSS12 together with a XDJ-XZ in standalone mode (i.e. no laptop involved) to play tracks from the 2 usb slots on the all-in-one on the CRSS12.

Bonus question: can you use the 4 hot cue buttons to trigger hotcues saved on the tracks in record box?

I am trying to figure out if I want the CRSS12 rather than a CDJ as an additional device next to my XZ. If it can play the tracks from the usbs in the XZ, I would gain a lot of flexibility by also putting on vinyls.

No, you cannot. The only media a CRSS12 can play in standalone is vinyl. It also does not support Pro DJ Link.

The hot cue buttons on the CRSS12 work the same as the pads on your XZ. They are pre-mapped but they can be re-mapped as you please. They only work when connected to Rekordbox performance mode or Serato with DVS
