VIRTUALIZING OS - unexplainedapplication error at start up
Hey all wondering if anyone has made the jump to running a virtualized opperating system and using rekordbox... the first day i ran sonoma on my hackintosh build.. it ran better than when i had my opperating system installed on bare metal. the tracks were analyzing quicker than i have ever seen or experianced. than i started getting that error at launch of app after i did a shut down. so last night i installed a windows 11 opperating system again as a virtual machine through proxmox. worked great tracks analyzing just as fast maybe even faster as i lied to my computer when i set up the windows vm and told it to have more threads.. than i restarted after i did an install of some studio vsts, and behold i get that same error at start up i can push it aside and use rekordbox fine.. but if i forget about it and hit space bar or enter for what ever reason it engages the ok button and shuts down. this could be something due to virtualization not sure... but serato works brilliantly, and so does djay.... and i have all my work hus far done through rekordbox because of the lighting and my cdj system, i really dont want to make another app be my main go to... is anyone else running rekordbox through a virtual machine? if so any advice? if it works for u what are your pros and cons.
it would be great to get support for linux and be able to run RB as a standalone container.. booting bare metal right into the sopftware and no added B.s booing up behind the scenes from the opperating sys. especially with how main stream virtualization is getting, the games are all over it because its a proven benchmarked fact that windows functions better through virtualization than it does installed bare metal. maybe this could be something the dev team can look into and they can be the first out of the main dj software teams that can release somethjng of this nature.
im in no way a pro but if anyone has any questions or wants to look into virtuyal machines and trying to install and or run this piece of software we all love shoot me a comment or a message and ill point you to where i get all my information.
cheers
