RX2 Broken Tempo Slider and tempo stuck on +6 - anyway to reset to ZERO%??

hello 

my RX2 tempo slider is broken, i know its a hardware issue as i can feel damage to the mechanism when I use the slider, it does not change the tempo at all, it is stuck on +6% no matter where I put the slider - my question is; is there anyway to override this and reset it back to 0% - I know I need to send the unit in for repair but perhaps someone knows how to overide the +6% back to 0% in the meantime, thanks
