How to fix the audio popping issue on the XDJ-XZ controller on Intel based PC's!!!
Hello,
I was having the unending horrific popping audio issue on my new Intel i9 based machine with my XDJ-XZ controller. I spend weeks diagnosing it down and isolating what it could be.
After proving there was nothing wrong with the XDJ-XZ on other machines, swapping USB cables, checking all drivers for and updating firmware on XDJ, all of it, it persisted still! Nothing would fix this, or so it seemed.
So next, I opened Windows Task Manager and started killing running background processes 1 by 1 while listening to a playing track loop on my XDJ that was popping every 1 second of playback.
When I killed this process, the XDJ-XZ suddenly stopped popping and the audio became perfect again.
Kill this piece of trash software, uninstall it, terminate it with extreme prejudice and you will get your XDJ back!
This software is generating the rythmic software interrupts that interfere with the XDJ audio playback.
I hope this helps those of the rest of you that have been pulling your hair out trying to figure this popping issue out on your XDJ-XZ and possibly even other decks, I'd imagine. Best!
