Rekordbox not receiving DDJ-SB2 inputs

I am very new to any dj stuff whatsoever so I am most likely overlooking some basic stuff. But I downloaded Rekordbox today and my sb2 is not communicating with the software properly. I ran a MIDI monitor and the controller is sending out signals for all components. However, Rekordbox is not picking up any of these signals. I can't browse through, load, or do anything to a track via the controller. Is there a setting/driver I need to update? I am on a Mac btw.
