Can't use controller in Export Mode, unbelievable!

Hi,

I've been using a XDJ-XZ to mix and Export Mode on my computer for track preparation.

Decided to buy a DDJ-FLX4 this week just so that I could use it to prepare tracks in Export Mode in front of the computer, using a small portable controller without having to use the keyboard so much.
Just found out that AlphaTeta decided we can't use a controller in Export Mode, too bad I didn't do my research first, as many posts do say that; didn't care to check because I don't see any sane reason for not being able to.
What gives? Some of those posts are old, has there been any update on using a controller in Export Mode?

In this topic https://community.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/22976943958169-Use-DJ-Console-to-control-Export-mode an user says he was able but doesn't remember how?
"What is strange that yesterday I've managed to Start/Pause, CUE and have channel level LEDs on a DDJ-RB in Export mode - don't ask me how because I really don't know to reproduce."

Please don't tell me to use Performance Mode because it can do everything Export Mode can do. Export Mode is a lot more friendly and easy to use to prepare tracks!

Is there any workaround? Seems like I wasted my money buying a DDJ-FLX4 just to prepare tracks, sad.

Thanks and best regards,
John

No, unfortunately you can not use controller with Export Mode, only with Performance Mode.

This has always been the case, as Export Mode is for preparing tracks to export to your USB device, not for performance.
