A Real Cloud Service
Using DropBox or Google Drive
Rekordbox force to choose:
1) Move the songs to the cloud service directory
=> Loss of the file structure set up
=> No longer possible to use tools such as
- Tag management (MP3Tags)
- collection management (Lexicon)
or
2) Copy the songs to the cloud service directory
=> Keep the file structure in place
=> Which is useless because for RB, it is the one that is in the reertory of the Cloud service that is used
=> Also does not allow the use of tools such as
- Tag management (MP3Tags)
- collection management (Lexicon)
=> Huge storage loss (double the size used)
Rekordbox's cloud features are UNUSABLE with a very large collection.
Why have 5 TB of Dropbox Storage if we need more than 10TB locally for the same capacity?
Why not use real cloud in RB?
Take the example of Lexicon, which offers real collection and cloud management, not locally.

I agree 200%, I am using Musique (Itunes) for the 1st part of tagging in my workflow and then sync with RB and the cloud system of RB break the Sync possibility as i am also using Itune Match for my back up, so a real Cloud sync of RB would sync in its own cloud the files wherever they are in your laptop so that other cloud system already in place could still work. (like Itune match, icloud, onedrive, etc...and of course dropbox & Google drive)
Thank you for your feedback.
I have sent it to the rekordbox team.
