Is there a way to set loop after hot cue? [not active loop]
Rekordbox 7 auto hot cue function has me excited about incorporating hot cues back into my workflow (way too lazy to set them manually).
Anyhow, my question is, On CDJ-2000nxs2 and CDJ-3000 is there a way to set it up so I can hit a hot cue, then set a loop afterwards with the hotcue point as the loop-in point.
To make this a bit clearer... if I cue my tracks traditionally, and hit play, the loop-in marker (or cue marker) is now set to where I started from. If i decide I want to loop, I can hit loop out after 8 beats or 16 beats or whatever, and I will have a loop that starts from where I cued the track, and ends where I hit out.
I would like hotcues to function the same way, but instead, if i hit loop out after hitting a hot cue, the loop-in point is still at wherever I last manually cued the track. For me, this is a bit unintuitive and not the behavior I would expect.
Put another way, is there a way to have the player move the cue point to the position of the last pressed hotcue, whenever a hot cue is triggered?
PS: This is separate and distinct from the idea of setting an active loop. I know about that feature, and I do not wish the my hot cues to trigger loops by default.
I would also prefer that hitting Cue takes me to back to the last triggered hot cue.

I have been asking about this for years, a way to convert a cue into a loop on the fly.
