CDJ 1000 MK 2 - Multivoltage?
Hi!,
I have recently inherited ancient CDJ 1000 MK2 units from my dad.
After getting them at home I checked them and noticed that one of them is marked as only supporting 120V (label at the back). The curious thing is that I remember them perfectly being used for hours and none of them was plugged into any transformer (I'm located in Australia).
So...to be cautious I got a step-down converter, but just to prove to myself that I was not crazy remembering both units working without one in the past I plugged them....and...surprise!...both of them worked perfectly plugged to 220V. I tested them for an hour and the temperature of boths and operation was the same, no glitches, no malfunction, nothing.
My guess (far fetch, I know) is that the label for some models simply shows the certification the particular unit passed in the country where it is sold...and it seems that the CDJ 1000 MK2 is one of those multi-voltage units.
To make sure that I don't make damage the unit marked with the 120V label, could someone from Pioneer confirm that these units are multi-voltage?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers.
